Luis Cañas Reserva 2005 (Garnacha, Graciano, Mazuelo y Tempranillo)
NOTA DE CATA:
- Vista: Color rubí limpio y brillante.
- Nariz: Notas de fruta roja muy madura sobre un fondo balsámico muy elegante e intenso.
- Boca: Suave, fresco y con nervio. Los taninos están bien integrados y pulidos. Al final vuelven a aparecer toques de fruta roja muy madura y matices de licor que hace que sea un vino de largo recuerdo.

Bodega Luis Cañas es una bodega familiar que data de 1.928, aunque la familia lleva más de dos siglos dedicándose a la viticultura y a la elaboración de vinos. Sin embargo, es en 1.970 cuando LUIS CAÑAS sale al mercado comercializando vinos embotellados de cosechero. A partir de esta fecha es cuando experimenta un ascenso en comercialización y se empieza a gestar lo que es hoy en día una de las bodegas punteras de Rioja Alavesa.

The 2005 Reserva is a blend of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Graciano from 40-year-old vines aged in American and French oak for 18 months. It has an understated, subtle bouquet of dark cherries, loganberry and just a hint of tobacco and balsamic. The definition is wonderful: great clarity and focus here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, fine tannins and a crisp core of cranberry and raspberry fruit that leads to a subtle leather and tobacco tinged finish. This is very classy. Drink now-2020. Bodegas Luis Canas owns 90 hectares of vine. This is augmented by 200 hectares under long-term contract, dispersed over 815 parcels. These wines were imbued with wonderful purity and sophistication, managing to tread that fine line between modernism and classicism and embracing the virtues from the two. Moreover, I found that these wines evoked a sense of place, something that not all Rioja wines do. These all comes highly recommended.Ver más
