- The result is a sparkling wine with a fine mousse giving freshness and finesse elegant ripe fruit and light yeast aromas and a rich creamy complexity on the palate.
- 'Cape sparklers are improving, with Beck ahead of the pack with this stylish citric champagne lookalike; expect more ripeness of fruit and less acidity than the real thing.'
Rose Murray Brown MW, The Scotsman
- 'I've always enjoyed Graham Beck's sparklers, made in the champagne method under the supervision of the legendary Pieter Bubbles Ferreira. This 50-50 blend of chardonnay and pinot noir from the Robertson region is about as good as it gets for a non-champagne fizz, being crisp and clean, but toasty and brioche-like too. A cracking aperitif.'
